Job Description

Position : Employment Coordinator - Full Time
Location : Wakefield, MA
Rate of Pay : $19.55 per hour; plus $40 bi-weekly stipend for second language
Hours : 40 Hours per week
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm
Summary :
- Use your creative job seeking skills to support people with disabilities secure and succeed in community-based employment.
- Be part of a creative supportive team to help people with disabilities reach their vocational goals.
- Participate in an intelligent progressive team approach working closely with State funding sources to include MassAbility and the Department of Developmental Services.
- Case manage and develop employment relationships between the people you support and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities.
- Provide individualized supports to assist people with the employment skills they need to include; resume writing, interview skills, travel training and job etiquette.
Qualifications :
- High School / GED or Hi-SET plus 1-2 years related experience OR Associate’s degree plus 1 year related experience and / or training.
- One year of human service experience desired.
- Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.
Requirements :
- Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.
- Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
- Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices and community organizations.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
